We roast both single-origin coffees and blends, including multi-roast blends-where beans are roasted to different roast levels and then post-blended to create a balanced and complex cup. We source our beans from some of the finest coffee growing regions around the globe, such as Brazil, Colombia, Burundi, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Peru, Indonesia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Vietnam. Yes we do. We can offer you competitive prices for bulk order roasting (7kg +). We have the capacity to roast up to 21kg per day for our customers.

Yes we do. When ordering, please let us know that you wish to buy ground coffee, and tell us your preferred brew method ( eg: Aeropress, Filter, MokaPot, Cold Brew, Espresso, Syphon etc).
NB: Beans stay fresher over a longer period of time than ground coffee. Grinding your own coffee is a step in the right direction if you want to enjoy a delicious and fresh cup of coffee. Apart from the great aromas and tastes obtained from freshly ground coffee, you will be able to control the grind size, which has a huge impact on flavour. If you do not have your own grinder, then we can grind your coffee beans for you.

When you place your order via email or WhatsApp and make payment, the goods you ordered will then be dispatched for delivery by door-to-door courier services. The delivery address must be a physical address and cannot be a Post Office box. Someone will need to be available at the address to receive the delivery. Deliveries are made during business hours from Monday to Friday.
We ship to your workplace or residential home to all major cities and towns in South Africa. That said, sometimes our couriers cannot offer door to door delivery for more remote areas. Main centres include homes or businesses within a 50km radius of the major cities in South Africa. If you are not in a main centre, it may take a few days longer to receive your order. We do not deliver by courier to plots, farms, mines, military bases, power stations, game reserves and lodges, airports, or harbours, and should your delivery address fall into one of these categories you will be liable for the extra costs incurred in delivering or returning the parcel. Please call us on 068-646-6784 or email us at aphroditescoffee@gmail.com to make other arrangements. We will gladly help you (if at all possible). We are also happy to deliver to your workplace: just make sure you include your business name to make sure your order arrives promptly.

11🔸How long does delivery take?
In the metro areas such as Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), East London, Bloemfontein, and Pretoria you can expect your standard delivery order (economy road) in 1-3 business days of your order leaving our roastery. For overnight delivery, you can expect your order in 1-2 business days of your order leaving our roastery. If you are just outside the metro areas or in large towns, it can take another day or two for your order to get to you. Deliveries further afield may take a week (and occasionally more) from the time of dispatch.

12🔸Am I able to pay for an order, but have it sent to somebody else's address?
That is not a problem at all - just make sure you include the recipient's name, address, and phone number in your delivery notes, and we will organize the parcel to be sent there.

13🔸Are you able to deliver to PO Boxes?
Our couriers unfortunately do not deliver to Post Office Boxes, only Door-to-Door deliveries.

14🔸What happens if my goods are damaged in transit?
In the event you receive goods that are damaged or faulty, please contact us and we will refund the value of the damaged goods. We reserve the right to require proof that the goods were damaged or faulty. Please note that no refunds will be issued without first talking to our representative.

ABOUT
  • APHRODITE'S COFFEE ROASTERY
    5th Year Anniversary

As Aphrodite’s Coffee Roastery approaches its fifth anniversary in October, the milestone reflects more than just five years in business—it represents a journey built on passion, precision, and a strong commitment to produce quality artisanal roasted coffee.
The roastery was founded in 2021 by Nick Patsalos, born and bred in the Friendly City of Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth). What started as a personal pursuit of mastering the craft has grown into a trusted supplier of roasted coffee beans to all types of businesses, offices, home baristas, in fact any space requiring exceptional coffee!
From the beginning, the philosophy has remained simple—quality above all else. Only 100% Arabica coffee is selected, with each batch meeting specialty-grade standards of 80+ points on the SCA scale. This ensures that every roast starts with coffee capable of delivering outstanding flavour.
Great coffee, however, is not only about sourcing; it is also about the roasting process itself.
Using a small-batch approach, each roast is carefully controlled to bring out the best characteristics of the coffee, whether that means smooth chocolate notes, balanced sweetness, or a more vibrant and complex profile. Roasting is treated as both a science and an art, combining technical precision with experience and instinct to achieve consistency and quality in every batch.
Unlike many businesses in the industry, Aphrodite’s Coffee Roastery has remained focused purely on wholesale, with a minimum roast order of one kilogram. This allows for a hands-on, personalised approach with clients, ensuring freshly roasted coffee, competitive pricing, and reliable service without compromise.
The roastery takes pride in its local roots. Fast, dependable delivery and strong customer relationships remain central to the business, reinforcing its reputation for both quality and service.
“Aphrodite’s Coffee Roastery – Coffees of Distinction!” is more than a slogan; it is a promise reflected in every part of the business. From carefully crafted blends to distinctive single-origin coffee, the aim remains the same: to deliver consistently excellent flavour and quality in every roast.
Over the past five years, the journey has included challenges, learning curves, and continuous refinement of roasting techniques. Each step has strengthened the foundation of the business and reinforced its commitment to improvement.
As this milestone is reached, the focus remains firmly on the future—exploring new coffee, refining processes, and continuing to serve customers with the same dedication that started it all.
Five years on, Aphrodite’s Coffee Roastery stands as a testament to passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of exceptional roasted coffee—one carefully roasted batch at a time.
